FILM COFFEE HK PRESENTS

PHOTOGRAPHY
× CAFÉ
EXHIBITION

Photographer Eddie Huynh teamed up with Film Coffee HK for his first solo exhibition, bringing visual art into everyday life — a moment with craft coffee, surrounded by images and stories.

Selected works from 2014 onwards trace a journey through war, pain and numbness towards awakening, hope and liberation.

“No matter how desperate life is, as long as you hold on to your beliefs, you can always find light and colour in the darkness.”

AN EVENING
IN MOTION.

Photography × Café Exhibition at Film Coffee HK — the atmosphere, the artworks and the people who shared the event.

The Wars from Photography x Café Exhibition
01 / 08

The Wars

Model: Rhynie Yip · Styling: Eddie Huynh

The pressure, stress, anger and sadness of modern life can slowly become toxic, consuming us without warning. Created shortly before the pandemic, this work reflects a Hong Kong atmosphere clouded by uncertainty and a future that felt impossible to see.

Da Smoke from Photography x Café Exhibition
02 / 08

Da Smoke

Model: Sabrina Chan · Makeup: Luna Chung

Fear, anger, jealousy and sadness surround us. Smoke becomes a metaphor for desire: intangible, everywhere, and able to enter both body and soul.

The Pain from Photography x Café Exhibition
03 / 08

The Pain

Model: Iryna Z · Makeup: Jun Lui · Headwear & Styling: Eagco Leung

Pain grows from desire and contradiction. Yellow represents conscience and the mind; blue reflects selfishness and mercilessness. The work was built through image design and styling around these two opposing colours.

The Sorrow from Photography x Café Exhibition
04 / 08

The Sorrow

Model: LISA·1958 · Makeup: Luna Chung · Styling: MadeofWater.Art

Sorrow accumulates through failure, pain and the passage of time. How many regrets remain? How many sleepless nights — and how much sorrow are we still unable to face?

The Poker Face from Photography x Café Exhibition
05 / 08

The Poker Face

Model: Anastasia Stolbova · Makeup: Luna Chung

After prolonged contradiction and conflict within the heart, numbness takes hold. Photographed with ultraviolet light, the image was a technical and emotional challenge for the entire team.

The Awaken from Photography x Café Exhibition
06 / 08

The Awaken

Model: Aanchal Wadhwani · Makeup: Cindy Lai

At the moment the world seemed to have given up on me, a light appeared. I realised I was not alone. Life moves through darkness and light, sustained by the people who help and support us along the journey.

The Stars from Photography x Café Exhibition
07 / 08

The Stars

Model: Aanchal Wadhwani · Makeup: Regina Chan

We can be the stars. We can become who we are — shining for ourselves while helping others find their own light.

The Liberation from Photography x Café Exhibition
08 / 08

The Liberation

Model: Trian Po Po · Makeup: Chili Fong

We are free: no longer trapped by emotion or circumstance, but becoming better through love and the courage to face every challenge.
